Investigation launched after body found floating in waters off Honolulu Harbor

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Police are investigating after a body was found floating in waters off Honolulu Harbor on Friday morning.
The Honolulu Police Department said officers responded to Pier 13 just after 7:15 a.m. after they received a report a man floating in the water.
The fire department and Emergency Medical Services were also called to the scene where officials pronounced the 53-year-old man dead.
The investigation is ongoing and is under the Department of Law Enforcement.
HPD said the Criminal Investigation Division-Homicide Detail along with the Scientific Investigative Section, assisted with the initial investigation.
